NEW TERRITORY under 300 pounds!

It finally happened! I am UNDER 300 pounds, for the first time since 1996!  After almost a year of bouncing around between 301-312, I finally figured out how to start losing again, rather than just maintaining my losses!  What seemed so elusive was the simple concept of eating LESS of the right stuff!

I had let myself get sucked into the online Keto hype that calories don't count! I wasn't eating sugar or starch but was eating cheese and other fats quite liberally. For my short little body, it was just too much! On June 15th, I returned to my original Weigh Station diet plan and also began counting calories to keep track of what I was eating. I set my daily allowance of Weighstation food choices at 800 calories. BOOM! the pounds started dropping!

It's an exciting week! The 300's and much of the emotional garbage that was attached to that weight is behind me! Now it's full-speed ahead!

My strategy moving forward is to strictly follow my original WeighStation diet from 2009. That means eating moderate amounts of lean protein, very few carbohydrates, and minimal amounts of fat. I am choosing to stay within 800-900 calories a day. I will continue my commitment to not eat sugar or starchy food choices.
